He came to Sangha becoming a Buddhist nun (although the historical sources do not say if he did it as a child or after the death of her husband). Although his previous life is not dealt with in historical accounts, he appears in many writings. Not only is it said that he knew the triple essence of Buddhism (the Buddhist Canon) but received gifts from a powerful king, the Satrapo of Mathura, subordinate to the Kushan emperors. Buddhamite lived at the time of the 4th Buddhist Council and probably became involved due to his knowledge. It is an important figure, because despite having lived in a patriarchal society left a mark in history, while many male kings have been forgotten.
