Radio X, known as XFM until September 21, 2015, is a group of British radio commercial broadcasters that broadcast rock and indie pop music owned by Global Radio.
Established in London in 1992 by Sammy Jacob, who later co-founded NME Radio in 2008, the Xfm Group then expanded to four radio stations. Among the famous names with a past as Xfm Radio DJs are those of Ricky Gervais, Karl Pilkington, Stephen Merchant, Simon Pegg, Christian O'Connell, Russell Brand, Justin Lee Collins, Adam and Joe, Alex Zane and Dermot O'Leary .
