Bebogeen

Bowl is a caramel paste, used as a bread platter.

Bebogen has been developed partly because there was little or no butter available in the north of the Netherlands during and after the Second World War.

Sugar beet was processed into a sweet, spreadable caramel paste, which meant that butter was not needed. The book contains no fat, but many carbohydrates, and can be seen as a Dutch variant of Latin American dulce de leche. Declaring the name Bebogeen

There are two statements for the name. The bug would be created by the combination and reversal of No Butter available. However, the son of the last private owner told a Telegraph reporter in 2009, meaning Better than Butter, and a combination of the names of the son and nephew of the original producer Benno Benninga: Benno and Bob.
