Ben Richardson, born on Aruba, is a former Dutch baseball player who played for years on the highest level as a right-hand pitcher and later an outsider and batter.
Richardson began his baseball career as a pitcher at Ajax-HVA in 1966, the year he moved to The Netherlands. After this association rejected the baseball he continued at the fusion club between Ajax and Giants from Diemen, the Luycks Giants, later Unique Giants and Lottgering Schoten. At Schoten he came out as an outsider and fourth batter.
In 1974, Richardson was selected for the Dutch baseball team as an outsider. With this team, he scored three times silver during the European Championships in 1973, 1975 and 1977. During the Haarlem Baseball Week he was named the most valuable Dutch player twice (9th edition in 1976 and 10th edition in 1978). In the KNBSB league Ben Richardson has dragged the Homerun King title three times and once again silver as a best hitman.
