François de Vicq (Jr.) (9 August 1646 - September 22, 1707) was the son of the same physician and regent (1603 - 1678). His grandfather was a sheetmaker. After completing his studies in Leiden, he married Aletta Pancras in 1667. The couple was painted in 1670 by Gerard ter Borch. After a number of commissioners, he became a ship in 1673. In 1678 he inherited from his father Herengracht 476 in the Golden Bend and joined the early childhood. In 1675 he was the main participant and governor of the West Indian Company and in 1687 director of the Suriname Society. He was involved in the establishment and remained in office until his death. The Vicq had a courtyard in the Watergraafsmeer. His eldest son studied Law at the University of Franeker.

In 1694 he became a scout and involved in the persecution of printers who had spent Spinoza's work. In 1696 he became a curator of the Athenaeum Illustre. In that year, his house was threatened during the Call of Attorney, but he managed to calm the people with beautiful words. The tax has been abolished, but the property was permanently monitored by the shooter. After a trial, some of the rioters have been sent to Suriname. In 1697, 1700 and 1706 he was elected mayor. He was feared in his action against the evasion of an impost on beer, set in 1704, which was bought at the back door in a pub. Source
