The Austrian Rally 1973, official 44. Austrian Alps, was the 44th edition of the Rally of Austria and the ninth round of the World Rally Championship in 1973. It was the 9th rally in the World Championship Rally organized by the Federation Internationale de l'Automobile (FIA). The start and finish took place in Baden.

Achim Warmbold came after winning his victory in Poland to win a more honorable victory in Austria, where he defeated the Alpine Renaults in his BMW 2002 registered trademark; hence the first success of the brand in the World Cup Rally. Bernard Darniche finished second, with Saab rider Per Eklund taking third place.
