UGC or the full Uppsala General Catalog of Galaxies is an astronomical catalog compiled by the Swedish astronomer Peter Nilson in 1973.
The catalog contains data about 12,921 galaxies north of declination -02 ° 30 'and is based mainly on the original photographic records of the sky survey conducted with the Samuel Oschintelescoop at the Palomar Observatory.
