De Meeuwen is a small neighborhood in the city of Groningen.
The district is located between the Winschoterdiep and the access road from the Europaplein (N7). The district is built in Aagrunol's former location.
The district consists mainly of a lane, called Barkmolen Street. The road on the east side of the Winschoterdiep belongs to the district. However, there are no houses.
The neighborhood is named after De Meeuwerd, the polder who originally lay here. The Meeuwerd means about: place where many seagulls are a wet place.
