Dolmar


Dolmar GmbH is the oldest manufacturer of portable benzine-driven chain saws. The headquarters are located in Hamburg. The founder of the company, Emil Lerp, developed the "Type A" chain saw in 1927, a saw that was to be operated by two persons. The chain saw was tested on Mount Dolmar in the Thuringian Forest. The company took the name of this place. In 1975, Fichtel & amp; Sachs holds the majority interest, after which the name was changed to Sachs Dolmar.
