The debt collection bank was founded in 1891 by the brother Karel Gustaaf Goedewaagen Sr. (1859-1924) and Cornelis Tobie Goedewaagen (1866-1934), sons of Tobias Goedewaagen. The Debt Collection Bank originated from the Bank Goedewaagen & amp; Co, based in Amsterdam, with branches throughout the Netherlands, including in Gouda, Schoonhoven and Boskoop.

The older brother Karel Gustaaf Goedewaagen was the first director of the company. On March 1, 1921, the directorate was taken over by his son Karel Gustaaf Goedewaagen Jr. In 1945 Cornelis Abraham Klaasse became the new director of the company.

The Debt Collection took over two banks in 1931: Scheurleer & amp; Zoonen Bank in Delft and the Bodegraven Banking. In 1937, the acquisition of the Bank Association followed. The Collectibles Bank was taken over by the Amsterdamsche Bank on January 1, 1948. and was fully integrated in Amsterdamsche Bank in 1956. Also see
