Indirect object


Indirect object is in the decomposition the collective term for the phrases that indicate self-esteem on which the act or action expressed by the verb is not directed directly, such as the suffering object, but indirectly.

In most cases, the indirect object is not exclusively linked to the verb but with the combination "verb + suffering object". Another difference to the suffering object is that an indirect object usually involves a living being, while the suffering object can be both a living and a thing.
