Journal of Mediterranean Archeology

The Journal of Mediterranean Archeology (TMA) is an independent scientific journal devoted to the archeology of the cultures of the Mediterranean. This largely corresponds to classical archeology. In the magazine, which serves a varied reading audience, new results of archaeological research are presented, as well as critical discussions of exhibitions and passports literature. The TMA is the only scientific magazine for Classical archeology that is almost entirely in Dutch. In view of the international reader, each edition contains English summaries of the articles. Contentual messages from readers in response to the writings published in TMA can be printed in the magazine, although this rarely happens. Since 2014, the magazine is printed in color. The first edition of TMA appeared in 1988. The magazine usually appears twice a year. Summaries (in English) of the articles of previous years are available on the official website of the magazine. Also, the entire archive can be consulted online, even for non-subscribers. TMA is known for the unconventional design of the cover, which differs annually.
