Nicolaus Doers

Nicolaus (Nicolaas) Doers (Lierop, 21 June 1763 - Lierop, 19 November 1821) was a Dutch mayor.

Doers were born as seventh of the nine children of Cornelius Doers (1724-1803), farmer and local driver, and Joanna Maria Hermans. He became Mayor and collector of the land's burden in Lierop in 1798, was a member of the municipality (1795-1798), presidential ships (1798-1811), member of the civil court (1803), loco-schout-civil (1810) and finally mayor of the congregation. Among his predecessor Th. Hermans had been a local mayor for some time.

With the death of Doers in 1821, his mayor also ended. He remained unmarried. With Anna and Johanna, the daughters of his brother Jan (1755-1807), the Doers family, descendants of Arnt Orssen (died between 1435 and 1444) died in a male line.
