Room (city)

Room is the capital of Alodia. E. Wallis Budge identified him with a group of ruins located near the Blue Nile, 18 km from the Sudanese capital of Khartoum, where there are the ruins of an ancient Merodio temple that was then converted into a Christian church. This should put Soba in the Sudanese state of Al Jazira. Ibn Selim el-Aswani described the city as being very large and economically prosperous, most likely it did not actually visit it, and recent archaeological excavations show that it was a medium-sized center. Built mainly from red bricks, the abandoned city was plundered by this building material for the construction of the city of Khartoum in 1821. Notemodify wikitesto Bibliografiamodifica wikitesto
