They fought on the seven seas is a book written by K.W.L. Bezemer, describing the operations of the Dutch navy at the beginning of World War II until the fall of the island of Java. The first edition of the book was published in 1954 by W. de Haan NV in Zeist. The book contained, in addition to the author's foreword, a preface of Vice-Admiral A. de Booy. In addition, the first print has 423 pages followed by a list of subscribers. In later versions such as the seventh edition (1983), a preface of former Prime Minister Piet de Jong has also been added. Content
