Valtijoki (Northern Sami also: Valddejohka) is a river flowing in the Finnish municipality of Enontekiö in the province of Lapland. The river is formed on the south side of Lake Somasjärvi. She slinges and flows south to Porojärvi. The height difference between both lakes is approximately 150 meters. Downstream, the river still receives water from three streams. The river flows through inhospitable and uninhabited areas and is frozen in the winter for a long time. Commercial shipping, other than wild water canoes, is not possible due to the many waterfalls and rapids. Sports fish can be found on flag salmon, brook trout and whitefish.

The river belongs to the Torne basin and has three flooding streams: Veajetjohka, Lávrrejohka and Sieddejohka.

Afwatering: Valtijoki → Reindeer → Substitute → Könkämärivier → Muonio → Tournament → Botnische Golf
