The Euvelgunnetracé is a short stretch of dual-lane highway that will improve the flow on the N7 at Groningen and runs from Oude Roodehaan to the new Euvelgunne junction. The Euvelgunnetracé is not equipped with escape routes and therefore has the status of motorway. At Roodehaan the N7 / A7 has been pulled through; The old route through Europaweg continues to exist, but has lost the status of state road.
The Euvelgunnetracé serves primarily for the junction of the Europaplein junction. On the Europaplein, traffic was regularly stuck for the traffic lights present. At this junction, however, there was no room for an alternative solution. Since the construction of the Euvelgunnetracé, the N7 at the new junction Euvelgunne closes uneven floors on the southern ring road and on the N46. On 1 February 2009 the connection between the A7 and the southern ring road was opened via the Euvelgunnetracé.
The route and the node are named after the former Euvelgunne neighborhood. 53° 12′ 41″ NB, 6° 37′ 25″ OL
