Pata Negra is a Spain-famous flamenco band with a major influence in the history of Spanish modern music. The band was founded by the brothers Raimundo (singer, flamenco and pop / rock guitarist, 1959 - Sevilla) and Rafael Amador (singer, flamenco and pop / rock guitarist, 1960 - Sevilla) after their friend Veneno had gone to bed. Their style of derivative rhythms based on flamenco music and blues, called them blueslerĂa, had great impact on other modern flamenco bands. Pata Negra did not record seven CDs between 1981 and 1995, re-releases, compilations or live recordings. At the last two CDs, Rafael was the last remaining member of the band. In both Pata Negra (1981) and Rock gitano (1983), one recognizes the great enrichment of their style, the fusion of flamenco and rock as the brothers work out.
