Queen's Park (Bolton)

Queen's Park is a Victorian park, located in Bolton, Greater Manchester, England.

Opened on May 24, 1866 by Lord Bradford, it was named in 1897 in honor of Queen Victoria. Queen's Park had a museum of natural history, the Chadwick Museum, inaugurated in 1878 by Mr. Freeman RK.

The museum was built by Samuel Chadwick, whose statue is located in Bolton Victoria Square, Bolton. The building was demolished when the museum was moved to Le Mans Crescent.

The Croal River runs through the park, which has flower beds, duck ponds, and statues, including one of former British Prime Minister Benjamin Disraeli. Notemodify wikitesto
