Universal translator

The universal translator is a fiction device that occurs in many science fiction works, especially on television. The device was first described in 1945 in Murray Leinster's "First Contact" book. It is an accepted part of science fiction stories and is often a useful part of the plot. Star Trek

In the fictional series Star Trek, it is intended to facilitate communication with alien creatures. The device is particularly smart, able to quickly pick up the language of a non-English speaker and translate into English. As a result, all aliens in Star Trek seem to speak English.

The earlier versions, in the Enterprise Enterprise era, which were even less advanced, lasted longer than the later versions. Also, one could not communicate well if there was no technology available.

The later versions have been introduced to the people, making communication almost no problem, except when encountering an insect species.
