Alberto Graziadei

Alberto Graziadei (Calceranica al Lago, 1907 - Trento, 1995) was an Italian painter.

He has been painting and graphic since 1937. He has participated in numerous regional, national and international exhibitions.

He has exhibited personal exhibitions in Trento, Galleria Trento, Gallery of the Column, Galleria del fino; Rovereto; at Piccola Galeria di Brescia; the Folk University of Trento and the Fogolino Gallery respectively in the years 1954, 1969, 1971, 1982 and 1984.

His painting was one of the most original on the Trentino and Italian landscape: he shifted from landscaping to portraiture, from advertising graphics to abstractism. Of this last Graziard he was a forerunner from the early '40s and developed a personal technique of great intensity, defining himself as a "master of color". There is still a revaluation of his abstract paintings, which reached remarkable levels and were exhibited in international galleries, even reaching Japan.

From its many landscapes, a stylistic architecture, a language and a serenity of great clarity and introspective research emerge, as well as by its quasi-feminine figures, which he tended to deform while not destroying formal and aesthetic values, suggesting a far from inspiration to a certain graphic already dear to Sironi. In Graziadei, rather than merely aesthetic values, it is crucial to look at the impression that his sketched figures can look at the observer's gaze, as if he could convey hidden feelings and passions.

At the same time he worked on engravings, watercolors, crayons and oil (mostly on the table) in a style for him to be synonymous with freedom and emotion.
