The title Sport coach of the year has been awarded annually to the Belgian coach since 2011, which ends as winner of a referendum, organized by the Belgian Professional Union of Sports Journalists. The trophy will be presented during the sports gala which also includes "Sportman of the Year" (1967), "Sportswoman of the Year" (1975), "Sports Team of the Year" (1997), "Sport promise of the year" (1998) and Paralympic of the Year (2009).
