Geurt van Dijk (Heteren, December 7, 1941) is a Dutch visual artist. Life and work

Van Dijk was born in Heteren in 1941. He was educated as an artist at the Academy of Fine Arts in Arnhem. Van Dijk works in a broad field of visual arts. He works as sculptor, etcher, graphic artist, lithographer, painter and draftsman. His work is counted on academic maniaism. Initially he was employed in Gelderland. In the nineties of the twentieth century he moved to Eppenhuizen in the province of Groningen. Van Dijk also became a lecturer at the Minerva Academy in Groningen. His work is regularly exhibited. Together with the visual artist Hans van der Pennen, he made a double exposure in 1996. In 2011 his work was included in the exhibition of the Minerva Academy in Groningen under the title of Old Heroes - Young Masters.

Van Dijk received the Gelderland Graphics Prize in 1991. Together with Johnny van Doorn (Johnny the Self-Kicker) he made Heteren, with Van Doorn's lyrics and pictures from Van Dijk. Publications
