Jacques Stil


Jacobus Gerardus (Jacques) Stil (born Amsterdam, 13 March 1906, died Overveen, July 16, 1944) was a Dutch resistance warrior during the Second World War.

Jacuqes Stil worked for the Personal Certificate Center and became active in the Knokploeg Amsterdam-West. He participated in the robbery at the House of Conservation I in Amsterdam (14-15 July 1944).

He was fired in the dunes at Overveen on July 16, 1944, along with thirteen other men (including the famous resistance fighter Johannes Post). All victims were buried in a mass grave in the dunes. Stil is buried at the Bloemendaal Eere Cemetery.
