The Dutch football championship of the season 1916/17 was decided through the championship competition with Go Ahead as a winner.
GeneralDutch football was divided into four regions, of which the champions played a full league against the decision of the national championship. Champion of the Northern Competition was Be Quick, of Eastern Go Ahead, Willem II of South, and of Western UVV. This was the first championship competition in which a club from the north was allowed to participate.
