The silver spot (Boloria euphrosyne, synonymous Clossiana euphrosyne) is a butterfly from the Nymphalidae family, the foxes, pearl butterflies and weathered butterflies. The span is 44 to 47 millimeters.
In the Netherlands and Flanders, the butterfly has been extinct since the mid-twentieth century. In the rest of Europe, the butterfly is quite unprotected.
The silver spot prefers forest edges and open spaces in forests as a habitat. Many different types of violets are used as a value plant.
The flight time is from April to September. A generation is being produced every year.
