The Red Flag


Le Drapeau Rouge (The Red Flag) was a Belgian magazine of the French-speaking organ of the Communist Party of Belgium. History

The magazine was founded shortly after the party was established and appeared since the autumn of 1921 every day. On October 1, 1936, it was transformed into La Voix du Peuple.

During the Second World War, the magazine was re-issued clandestine, after the war, the issue was resumed as a daily newspaper. The leaf fell with the fall of the Wall. There have been attempts to publish the magazine as a weekly or monthly magazine. The Flemish counterpart was De Rode Vaan.

In 2004, Wallonia has again published a publication called Drapeau Rouge; This is an edition of the Party Communist (continuation of the Party of Brussels - Wallonia.

One of the most famous editorials of this paper was Rosine Lewin.
