Wil Dijkstra (1945, Marienbad, Czech Republic) is a Dutch psychologist and emeritus professor "Methods of Data Collection in Social Science Research" at the Vrije Universiteit Amsterdam. His expertise was especially in the field of interaction between interviewer and respondent during survey research.

Dijkstra studied psychology at the University of Amsterdam until 1973. In 1983 he graduated in the social sciences at the Vrije Universiteit on the dissertation "Influence of answers in survey interviews". In 2002 he was appointed professor at the Vrije Universiteit, where he pronounced the inaugural speech, entitled "Methodology as a fool in the fur". Dijkstra was, among other things, further involved in the "Interuniversity Graduate School of Psychometrics and Sociometrics" (IOPS). Trivia

Dijkstra is also active as a board game designer. Thus, in the late 1980's, he published the Targui game (based on his experiences during a vacation in North Africa) and later the Weather and Wind game (both with Ben van Dijk). Both games have also been issued internationally. Publications
