Van Logteren learned the sculpture of his father, the sculptor and architect Ignatius van Logteren. Saved works by him include Bacchus and Ariadne at House at Manpad in Heemstede and the organ cabinet of the Müllerorgel in the Grote or Sint-Bavokerk in Haarlem.
