The Renard R-42 was a planned hunting plane of Belgian aircraft engineer Renard. History
The Renard R-42 was a further development of the previously proposed Renard R-40, a 1938 pressure cabin hunter. Strikingly, the two-tier configuration (comparable to the Twin Mustang and the Messerschmitt 109 Z) was noticeable. Like the R-40, this aircraft had a shooting chair, but despite all promising (theoretical) specifications, the Belgian Air Force leadership showed no interest and no prototype was ever built. When the Germans invaded Belgium in 1940, Renard tried to put in place the plans together with the Renard R-38's existing prototypes. Data Source
