Rob Gerrits is a character in the VTM television series Family, played by Erik Goris.
Rob was the ex-husband of Rita Van den Bossche and years old stepfather of Pierrot Van den Bossche. Overview
Rob is a former criminal who lives his life when he meets Rita. He becomes an exemplary father for Pierrot, who constantly calls him Daddy Rob. He can get started at VDB Electronics, where he eventually knows how to work out.
Rob was a while director of De Borger & amp; Co, a sister company of VDB. When he started an affair with his secretary Martine Van den Abeele, Rita again drank and allowed Rob to co-star her. After that he had short relationships with Isabelle Solie and Els d'Hollander.
After his relational perils, Rob was faced with a gambling addiction. It went so far that he abused money from the company. When Peter comes back, he can not let Rob escape. Fortunately, he can get started as a truck driver in Mathias Moelaert's transport company.
Finally, Rob gets out of trouble and Peter decides to re-employ his best friend as Human Resources Director. He seems to have an eye on Gerda Donckers, the new executive secretary. When Rob pursues a college course very often in the company of young, handsome student Cynthia, Gerda can hardly hide her jealousy.
When Rita touches the beverage, Rob relies on her. Yet he can not prevent the situation from falling out and Rita suddenly disappears from the bottom of the ground. He feels very guilty and starts a search for her, which seems nothing to deliver. A few weeks later, during a party at VDB Electronics, a Bert-manipulated Rita made her await at the parking lot. Rob hurries down, but meanwhile Rita has disappeared again. When he looks for her, he suddenly walks a pounded Bert to the body, which is about to burn the building. Bert shares Rob with a fire extinguisher and he is killed.
