Gemma Block


Gemma Blok (1970) studied history at the University of Amsterdam. She worked at the Trimbos Institute for Mental Health and Addiction Care in Utrecht. She specializes in the history of psychiatry and addiction care. In addition, she addresses the cultural history of the Interbellum.

In 2003 she graduated from the University of Amsterdam on a dissertation entitled "Boss in Own Brain." Antipsychiatry "in the Netherlands, 1965-1985."
