Holm Singer (Reichenbach, July 23, 1961) is a former informant of the East German security service Stasi. From 1980 to 1989 he worked as Informal Employee under the cover name IM Schubert. At that time he gathered information about persons in the Protestant churches of Saxony. He even baptized to be taken into church. His activities led to the arrest of four people; Singer received as a reward a trip to Moscow.
Holm Singer came to the news when students in Reichenbach organized an exhibition on the Stasi project with the result of their archive research. Singer spends a lawsuit to remove the tableau with his name. Initially he won the lawsuit but in his appeal his claim was rejected. A verdict of the Zwickau court of 24 March 2010 gave the same verdict.
