Piero di Luigi Guicciardini (1370 - 1441) was an Italian politician of the Guicciardini family of Florentine.
After being Ambassador to the Pope in 1410 and Bologna in 1413, he was a priore of the Arts in 1416 and Ambassador to Rimini in 1416
He was the first in the family to obtain the title of Conte, with Imperial Diploma dated Aachen, November 30, 1416; of the title his family made systematic use only after 1726, when he was recognized by the Grand Duke of Tuscany.
Other commissions include the Piombino Commissariat in 1417, the role of Podestà in Perugia in 1419, and the prestigious title of Giantfalonie of Justice of the Republic of Florence three times: in 1421, 1434 and in 1439. He was a member of the Ten of Balia in 1432 and was commissioner of the army in Casentino in 1440.
He married three times: with Laudomia Acciaioli in 1395, with Giovanna Valori in 1399 and with Angiola Buondelmonti in 1410.
He had sons Jacopo (1397-1490, his first wife), Luigi (1407-1487), Niccolò, Laudomia, Maddalena, Dianora and Constance (from his third wife). Curiositàmodifica wikitesto
