Saint Bonaventure University is a private Catholic Catholic University based in Allegany, New York.
It was founded in 1858 by a community of Friars Minor Franciscans led by Panfilo da Magliano with the help of Utica financier Nicholas Devereux and Buffalo Bishop John Timon.
