Andrija Pavlović, a valued judge in a socialist state, lost his memory after a car accident. The last thing he can remember is the day he entered the conquered capital 20 years ago at the head of a party unit. The development that started after that and in the course of which the revolutionary power institutionalized, has been completely oblivious. Andrija is sent home after an invalid medical treatment. His family must now take over the therapy, presenting his habits daily to help him find his identity. However, the therapy soon appears to be an indoctrination: not only is its former life untimely untouched, it is also attempted to pump it into current ideology and contemporary history, using methods for drilling and brainwashing. But Andrija Pavlović, who has achieved some kind of political and moral purity by his memory loss, can no longer understand many anomalies and dehydration of the new class, to which he belonged until recently.
