Willem van Foreest (named 1451 - died 1472), was the craftsman of the Rhine-based artisan masterpiece Middelburg, the craftsman of Schoterbosch's artisan masterpiece, and Geervliet and Putten's scholar.
Willem van Foreest was born as son of Adriaan van Foreest and Aechte uten Haghe. He followed his uncle Herpert from Foreest in 1459 in his craft traditions and inherited land at Zaandam and Aelbrechtsbergen as well as tithes in Delft, Schoten and Waverveen. He himself had bought land at Heiloo and Geervliet. In 1452, Willem van Foreest married Adriana Hart van der Woerd (named between 1452-1477), daughter of Boudijn Hart van der Woert (mayor of Delft), and of Catharina van Abbenbroek, a fellow of the Van Montfoort family. They received 1 son, Herpert, who would inherit the crafts and other possessions of his father.
