The bearer name is indicated by a river flowing in the province of Latina, in the easternmost part of the Pontine.
This river is the result of the union of three other streams, the Amaseno River (central), the Ufente River (from the left), and the Linea Pius VI channel, which connect to the Ponte Maggiore, of Terracina. The bearer is basically the function of the canal collecting and flows, after a distance of about 6 km, in the Tyrrhenian Sea, near the resort of Porto Badino. Its flow then develops entirely within the municipality of Terracina.
