Jan Schipper (soccer player)


Jan Schipper (Muntendam, 19 October 1947 - Zuidlaren, March 23, 1985) was a Dutch footballer. He was a defender at GVAV and FC Groningen. He also played for ACV and SC Veendam. biography

In the 226 games played Jan Schipper for GVAV and later FC Groningen he scored 8 times. He debuted on 21 October 1968 in a match of GVAV against PSV. He played for GVAV and FC Groningen until 1977 and then transferred to the amateur club ACV. With this club he won the Dutch amateur championship in 1978. In 1980 he returned to paid football and signed a contract with SC Veendam. From 1981 to 1984 he went out to head class Emmen.

His biggest win is the 6-1 in home match against FC Volendam on May 30, 1976. His biggest defeat is the 9-0 in the Ajax outing on January 6, 1974.

Jan Schipper died of an incurable disease in 1985 at the age of 37. Also see Externe link
