A pole can be a spoon of wood, metal or plastic with a long stem, used in the kitchen to stir soup, sauce or porridge.
A pole also occurs in the sense of a spoon of soup. The smaller variant of that spoon can be used to bake jus. In shape, however, it is the same: a stem with a bowl-shaped part mounted on the bottom at the bottom. A pole under this meaning is often made of metal (stainless steel), but possibly also from plastic.

However, polespeel could mean that the bowl to create resembles a "pol" (dialect by hand).
