Second Spanish Armada

The Second Spanish Armada was a major Spanish troop transport to Duinkerke, which was destroyed in 1639 by Lieutenant Admiral Maarten Harpertszoon Tromp in the Battle of Duins. The leader of the Second Spanish Armada was Antonio de Oquendo. The fleet consisted of 55 warships and 22 transport vessels carrying goods and goods.

Only in the Netherlands this fleet is called the "Second Armada". In other countries this is called the Fifth Armada.

Because the road crossed the country by a war with France, the Spaniards were forced to transport troops to the Netherlands by sea. However, this 'second Armada' was revived and enclosed in the Channel by Tromp. It cost 43 people and six thousand men.
