Ash Brannon (Columbus, 1969) is an American film director, writer and animator who worked on Pixar's first night-full animation film, Toy Story. He was also co-director of the sequel and helped to Surf's Up, for which he was allowed to share an Oscar nomination for best animated film.
Brannon started at Walt Disney Feature Animation as the little mermaid animator. Then he switched to Warner Bros. In 1993, he started working with Pixar as "story artist" and "directing animator" for Toy Story, the movie-based video game and "story artist" for a lice life. Then he co-directed Toy Story 2, a film nominated for a Golden Globe Award for Best Comedy or Musical Movie. In 2004 he worked with Sony Pictures as co-director of Surf's Up, along with Chris Buck. In addition, he spoke in the film one of the votes.
