Cross-posting can be used to promote or draw attention to a particular theme: a message that appears in different spaces seems to be more important.
However, this practice is usually considered despicable in most netiquette, as proliferation of messages weighs reading, creates confusion in the search for information, and unnecessarily weighs the databases, so in most forums the messages of this type are considered spam, then deleted and the user is at risk of ban.
