Emile Lejeune (Weer, 17 February 1938) is a former Belgian football player who played as a defender. He played in First Class at Club Liège and played 10 international competitions with the Belgian football team. Career
Lejeune debuted in 1959 as defender in the first team of former Premiership Club Liège and soon acquired a base. With the team Lejeune finished in 1961 as second in the final ranking of the Belgian football league. In the first half of the 1960-1969 the team always finished in the first half of the ranking and therefore played a few years in the Jaarbeursstedenbeker. In the season 1963-64, Club Liège with Lejeune achieved the semi-finals against Real Zaragoza after interrupting Arsenal FC, among others. Lejeune continued to play football until 1970 and then placed a point behind his senior career at the highest level. In total, he played 276 games for Club Liège, of which 243 competitions in First Class and he scored 5 goals.
Between 1960 and 1964, Lejeune was selected 14 times for the Belgian football team. He played a total of 10 matches with the national team until May 1962.
