In Kastamonu (Turkey), he became world champion on October 4, 2009. In the final he managed to convert in a 2-0 league against the Turk Haci Yaman in a 2-3 win. Eric Daelman, was the first Belgian world champion artistic billiards, after legendary Raymond Steylaerts. He was also Belgian champion in 2005, 2008 and 2015. In 2007 he won a bronze medal at the European Championship of Artistic Billiards in Malaty (Turkey). He became European champion by defeating the ruling world champion Serdar Gumus by 3 -1. He also broke various European records; overall average went from 74.71% to 77.84% and in the final he played a new European record of 85.84%. Palmares
