The revenue of the HPA consisted of levies and fees from the Ministry of Agriculture, Nature and Food Quality for implementing measures in the context of the European Common Market.
Since January 1, 2015, the Main Productschap Akkerbouw, together with all other product and company companies, has been lifted. The public duties have been taken over by the Ministry of Economic Affairs. Some private tasks have been transferred to the Industry Association of Agriculture.
