San Lorenzo (Veracruz)

San Lorenzo is an archaeological site in Mexico, in the lowland of the Gulf of Mexico. It is located in the municipality of Texistepec in the state of Veracruz.

San Lorenzo is known as an important place for archaeological objects. The place is considered to be probably one of the places where the Olmekian culture originated.

San Lorenzo also found the remains of what was probably the largest building of the time. It was a natural height on which buildings stood, with a number of landing heights around, probably the remains of pyramids. There are also a number of huge heads found (as in La Venta, for example), probably those images of the rulers of that time. 17 ° 44 '0 "NB, 94 ° 48' 0" WL
