Shawn and his wife Caroline Brady have four children: Roman, Kimberly, Kayla and Bo. They have also adopted Max and Frankie Brady. In 1983, they lived in Salem, Roman and Kayla lived there already.
After a few years, Bo was not the true son of Shawn, but that of Victor Kiriakis who had an affair with Caroline.

Shawn has another brother Eric who fell on his daughter Kimberly when she was young and two sisters.
