Tom McGrath (Glasgow, October 23, 1940 - April 29, 2009) was a Scottish writer and jazz pianist.
In the mid 1960s, he joined the emerging British underground culture and participated in Alexander Trocchi's Project Sigma and became founder and publisher of the International Times.
In the early 1970s he worked with Billy Connolly for The Great Northern Welly-Boot Show. From 1974 to 1977 he was Director of the Third Eye Center, an art center on "Sauchiehall Street" in Glasgow. During that time he also wrote the famous piece of Laurel and Hardy. In 1977, he worked with Jimmy Boyle (who had just been released from jail) for the piece The Hardman. He died of liver cancer in April 2009.
