The Erzgebirgskreis is a district in the state of Saxony. It originated during the 2008 redistribution of Saxony from the former Landkreisen Annaberg, Aue-Schwarzenberg, Stollberg and Mittleren Erzgebirgskreises.
The district is 1827 km² and has 382,571 inhabitants. The main place is Annaberg-Buchholz. Cities and municipalities Cities Municipalities Gallery 50° 36′ NB, 12° 57′ OL hatched in 1984, was designed as a direct competitor of the Commodore 64 and Sinclair ZX Spectrum. Also see
